RevSquare recently launched a new site for Les Coulisses du Mariage, the series of high-end annual wedding fairs throughout France.
Run by the wedding planning website 1001mariages.com, part of the company 1001 LIstes, the Coulisses events enable new brides-to-be and their families to explore all that France’s wedding industry has to offer, from wedding gowns to photographers to reception venues. Les coulisses du mariages currently take place in eight French cities, including Paris, Toulouse, Lyon, and Monaco.
The previous website for Les Coulisses du Mariage was a spare site with a simple list of exhibitors. RevSquare’s goal was to create a site that reflected the elegance and prestige of the events. RevSquare added interactivity for city selection, photos displaying the event venues, food, flowers, and more, along with individual pages for each vendor.
The most unique website functionality is a lead-generation form that doubles as a personalized invitation service. Website visitors can enter information about themselves and their upcoming wedding, including date and expected number of guests, and they’ll receive personalized invitations to the Les Coulisses du Mariage event closest to them.
RevSquare managed all aspects of the website design and development, from the initial strategy to defining user personas and journeys to design, development, and QA, completing all phases in three months.
The Les Coulisses du Mariage site was built with a number of different technologies. Rev Square’s designers used responsive design for tablet and desktop versions and adaptive design for the mobile version. Developers built the site using Django on the back-end and HTML5/CSS3 for the front-end.
