CobbleCord, a brand-new OTT service using patent-pending technology, wanted to help cord-cutting consumers determine the best available streaming services based on interest and budget. For the startup, it was important to partner with a company that could help create desktop and mobile sites, plus a mobile app, that was intuitive, fun, and easy-to-use. At the same time, the web and app platforms also had to support an advertising-driven business model.
Research began with asking users, via the CobbleCord Entertainment Profile Builder on the sites and the app, four simple questions about these topics:
Through a proprietary and patent-pending algorithm and database, the responses then generated a Personalized Entertainment Recommendation, with a featured selection of recommended online streaming services. Additional services that users may want to consider were also highlighted, with links directly to those services.
